Photography can take a pretty sizeable bite out of your wedding budget, and for good reason: You get what you pay for. Bad lighting, inconsistent quality, and missed opportunities will leave you with a pretty bleak wedding album. What a rotten way to remember the most important day of your life! Read More
Ah, the wedding dress: the centrepiece of the wedding ceremony. It’s all about the dress, when it comes right down to it. Why else would brides keep their attire such a closely guarded secret leading up to the Big Day?
No one waits excitedly to sneak a peek of the groom in his tuxedo (sorry, guys!). No one has their camera poised to get the first shot of the maid-of-honour in her wedding finest (sorry, girls!) No, it’s the bride—beautiful and beaming—who gets all the attention.
Every detail of her dress will be admired, every inch marvelled. How do women find the perfect wedding dress to compliment their style and shape? Well, when it comes to selecting the exactly right dress, there’s a lot to be considered. Read More
It was bright and sunny for Tamara and Maciek's special day, and their wedding reception at the Hilton Hotel Canary Wharf London couldn't have been more perfect.
What I loved most about this particular wedding was how the Tamara's and Maciek's families came together to create a cultural experience like no other. The exquisite banquet room at the Hilton was an amazing backdrop for this beautiful wedding, where the couple's Polish and Nigerian families laughed, danced, and celebrated together. As an added touch, there were to MCs—one Polish and the other Nigerian—who introduced traditions from their respective countries. It was so wonderful to see each family engage in learning about the other's culture! Read More
A cool, sunny day in Kent set the scene for Charlie and Andy's wedding at Mister Abbey in Kent. And talk about a fun reception! The Hook And Hatchet Pub in Kent was such a blast!
Following the ceremony in the beautiful, historic abbey along the coastline, Charlie, Andy, and I escaped to the beach for a mini photo shoot—just the three of us and their Jaguar! Afterwards, the party continued at the with friends and family. I can still smell the delicious spit roast meats. A big round of applause to the owner, Simon (a Jamie Oliver sort of guy), who is so passionate about his cooking. What an amazing meal! Read More
Not only have I secured a wedding photography job from Anuli and Kwame, but the couple's four-year-old daughter informed me during her parent's recent engagement shoot at Valentines Park in Ilford Essex that she will be hiring me to take her wedding photos when she grows up, too! What a beauty!
I loved the casualty of this engagement shoot, the photos from which will fill the pages of Anuli and Kwame's guest book at their August wedding at the Woolston Manor in Essex. We simply walked and talked and stopped at various points in the park. We'd stop and spontaneously set the scene, and take the shots. Anuli and Kwame's daughter added so much beauty and character to all the images! Read More
What I most remember about Caroline and Andy's beautiful autumn wedding at the historic Down Hall Country House Hotel in Hatfield Heath was the fact that they—and all of their guests—were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. It truly was a pleasure to photograph this couple's wedding.
If you've never been to Down Hall Country House, it is a sight to behold. It's an impressive, luxurious mansion dating back to 1322, and I started my full-day coverage in Caroline's room where I met with her and her bridesmaids, along with their creative team (make-up artist, hair stylist, and seamstress). The room was literally buzzing with excitement! Read More
I love holiday weddings!
Tanya and Gavin's ceremony at the glorious Beechfield House Hotel in Wiltshire was all the more magical because the hotel was adorned in beautiful Christmas decoration. A log fire popped in each of the drawing rooms, making everything feel warm and cozy. Read More
When my wonderful friend Laura asked me to take the photos of her sons' christening at Chudleigh Parish Church, I immediately said yes. I've known Laura for many years, and I felt very honoured that she asked me to capture such a significant occasion in her twin boys' life.
Travis and Lennon are both free spirits and easy to love. I laughed as the boys attempted to open the vicar's jar of holy water while he delivered his sermon, and as I watched them wander up and down the aisle of the church saying hi to friends and family who had come to witness the event. A mutual friend introduced me to the lovely Emma and her fiance Gary, who were married in a charming afternoon ceremony at Ponsbourne Park Hotel, a popular location in Hertfordshire where I am fortunate to be on the "preferred vendors" list.
Though it was rainy outside on this December day, it didn't matter much to us inside, where we were surrounded by exquisite and festive decor. The staff at Ponsbourne Park Hotel really do a lovely job for the holidays. Read More
If I could bottle Sam's giggle and sell it, the world would be a happier place! I love her infectious giggle. I'm sure it's one of the many things her fiance Asher loves about her, too!
The rain didn't stop us from taking some amazing engagement photos at the picturesque Trent Park in North London. It was a prelude to the couple's summer wedding at the Royal Majestic Banqueting Suite in North London. I met Sam and Asher through a mutual friend and previous client, and I'm so glad I did. They are a lovely couple and I am really enjoying working with them! Read More
